Inauguration of the Chapel “Saint George the victorious”
On May 6th, at 11:30 AM, the chapel “Saint George the Victorious” was officially inaugurated in Primorski Park, Burgas.
It was consecrated by Bishop Joanikii of Sliven in the presence of the regional governor and chairman of the initiative committee for the construction of the chapel, Konstantin Grebenarov.
The construction of the chapel was a noble initiative, realized with the desire, funds, and labor of the people of Burgas.
The chapel is the first in the city built in memory of those who perished in the Balkan War (1912-1913).
Among the official guests at the event were members of the initiative committee for the construction of the chapel, the mayor of Burgas, Dimitar Nikolov, donors, and representatives of the construction company “Unistroy Holding,” which completed the construction of the chapel in less than two months.
